Training Staff
Assisting with training at Zen Mountain Monastery and Zen Center of New York City are Hojin and Jimon.
Mn. Jody Hojin Kimmel
Hojin is a dharma holder in the Mountains and Rivers Order and serves as Training Coordinator. Hojin has been in training at the Monastery since 1990. Prior to that she received her MFA in Ceramics and Sculpture and worked as a freelance artist and art instructor. Her work has been exhibited nationally.
Mn. Joy Jimon Hintz
Jimon is a senior monastic and the Chief Liturgist of the Monastery. She also serves in the audio and graphics departments of Dharma Communications. Jimon has been in training at the Monastery since 1986. Prior to entering monastic life she was the principle dancer and rehearsal director of the Nikolais Dance Company, where she performed throughout the world.
